hi all, New iMac, Need Help

just got my first mac, i got a shinny new iMac 24in 2.4 MHz 3GB RAM, i have always used PC's and i am very excited to make the switch, however, i need a few programs which i used on my PC's before that are not compatible with macs, so i would appreciate all the help. I'll list the type of programs i need:

torrent client (something like utorrent)
image editing program (freeware)
video converter
program to get music from friends ipods (something like iDump)
any other cool 3rd party apps
