Hi,

My local phone dealer has reduced prices on the iPhone 4 and
iPhone 4s. The iPhone 4 is about a $110 cheaper. Which of
the two would you recommend me to get? I have the very
first iPhone with me and unfortunately I can't get some appli-
cations like whatsapp in this iPhone, so I need a newer iPhone.

Thank you in advance, kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

Hi,

Thank you : ) !!! I think I'll get the iPhone 4s !!!

Very kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

P.S. How is the battery life? I do plan to listen
to as much music as possible with it!

Hi,

I went again to the retailer and he has two more
(older) models that caught my attention: the
iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5C with 16 GB is $110 more expensive
than the iPhone 4s with 8 GB

The iPhone 5 with 64 GB is $185 more expensive
than the iPhone 4s with 8 GB

I wonder if paying those extra $110 or $185 are
worth it. I am not interested in the extra GB
as the maximum that I need for pics is a max
of 2 GB and for music some 3 GB. Whatever pics
I take, I download them to the hard disk and
the music, if changed, is not more than 3 GB.

Someone at the store told me that there is not
a big difference between iPhone 4s and the
iPhones 5 and 5C. That the technological bump
between the 4s and the 5 and 5C is minor. Is
that right? However, a major difference exists
between the afore mentioned models and the
newer iPhone 5s. I was also told that the major
difference between the iPhones 5 and 5C is that
the 5C comes in a (cheaper plastic) casket and
the iPhone 5 does not!

Kind regards,

igmolinav : ) !!!

@Dave Felix -
Why do you need such a large 'hard disk' for your iPhone?
Isn't really 8 - 16 GB enough ?? How much music can
a person really listen to in one day, (even week), or the
same for pictures!

Kind regards,

Iphone 4s

It all depends on your travel habits. If you travel internationally from the US, the 4s is the way to go. I personally would choose the 4s over the 4. Without a doubt, I agree with the rest of the replies, go with the 4s.

The 5C is roughly twice as fast as the 4S, so if you can afford it, go for that. Also larger screen and double the disk space. The 4S is still a good phone though, although 8GB leaves you with just 6GB user available storage.

Sounds like almost half a year later the OP likely made a decision a while back.
