General Hide Cydia Badge?

All other apps, you can hide the badge for in the notification settings, but not Cydia... Anyway to hide the badge for Cydia?

Open Cydia, locate the package that is triggering the update badge, select it then tap on package settings and turn on ignore changes.

I'd rather not ignore the updates altogether. I just don't want the icon badge, that's all.

May have a look at Curiosa (available from rpetri.ch/repo/). With this you'll find Cydia in Settings>Notification Center (with the ability to turn-off the badges).
