Good day!

Is there any guide to use some privacy on a macbook pro via a software or some configuration when joining a public wifi? (coffee shops, library)

We all know how easy is to get information on a machine, mac address, computer name, shares. If browsing the web they know your internet browser, your screen resolution, what OS, etc.

Does anyone have some tips or some software recommendation to be use/done prior to join a public wifi?

Thanks!

Your IP, web browser, Os and more is often sent to a website when you browse it. Even on your home network.

:) yes I know, using a vpn line would fix that, but the main question was if there was a way to hide the full name of the machine while being on a network.

i.e.: my full name as my computer name would be visible to others on the "public wifi", instead of changing the computer name, are there any way to not broadcast it?

Thanks so much!
