So I see all these weird PCs in my Finder, and I wish to not see them at all.

I only want to see the Macs.

Is there a way to hide PC network shares?

I think it's an all or nothing proposition for the most part with shares.

However, I did go into the Finder preferences and unchecked Bonjour Computers from the Sidebar tab. This put all my shares under a section of "All..." in the Shared section of the finder sidebar. Not sure if it puts Mac shares there too as I have none.

Hi Guys,

If one does not want to be detected in the network, one can turn off sharing and remote management, this may hide one from other users of the network.

Will the administrator of the network be still be able to detect one's computer name or only the MAC only !
