We use Netflix on our appletv and 3 Netflix profiles, mine, the wife and the kids.

Whenever we finish with our shows at night, we sign out and into the kids profile, so when they open it in the morning it’s already there. But most importantly the top popular shows bar on the home screen shows their shows or other kid friendly ones.

But recently this hasn’t been happening and in the morning the popular shows bar is showing whatever Netflix deems popular, so today it was a severed head for Santa Clarita diet and a couple of other none kid friendly items. Selecting the Netflix app and it’s straight into the kid section.

Luckily we’ve caught it in time but any idea how you either hide that popular shows bar completely for all apps, or just stop Netflix showing none appropriate content in that top panel?

What do you mean by the Popular Shows bar?
If that is the cover art bar above the icons, then If I remember correctly, it shows items only for apps in the top row in Springboard.
Is your netflix icon in the top row?
Try moving it down from there.

As said in the post above, just move the app to the row below.
Highlight the Netflix app, press and hold the trackpad until the tile wiggles then swipe on the trackpad to move it to where you wish.
