iPhone Hideme8

I have had Hideme8 working fine for a few days now, however suddenly the ability to have 5 icons in the dock has gone. My iPhone 6+ went back to having 4 icons and there is no option in the Hideme8 setting now...?

Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe you have HideMe8 lite.
 
They removed it 2 days ago because of 6+ landscape issues. I'm using this and I've heard that people with the 6+ are also liking this more so than hideme8. The spacing was better and no landscape issues. I'm on a 6 so cant confirm.

Name is betterfiveicondock and repo is repo.rpdev.info/

Yeah, betterfiveicondock works great. No issues with 6+ even going into landscape.

I don't like the spacing of betterfiveicondock. The spacing on Hideme8 was great as it squashed them in slightly to match the icons above. Also In landscape using betterfive on page one I can see icons from page 2 underneath the dock icons.

Any ideas?

Are you hiding the dock background somehow? If you are try putting the dock background back...
 
i use infinidock to get 5 icons in my dock (5 per page). It is one of my fav tweaks. It has the issue with landscape mode, but i just turned zoom on until they get that fixed.

That is not an issue with 5 icon dock. It is a problem with SBHTML. If you have that installed, you have to delete it. At least that is what it was for me. Took a lot of troubleshooting to figure that one out.

I had the same thing happen when I installed littlebrother, I emailed Ryan petrich he said that it doesn't work if you're hiding the dock background and he was right. But as fishmd said above SBHTML could be a culprit. Fishmd is very knowledgable!

This was littlebrother on my iP6 and it was showing my 6th row of icons when I turned into landscape.

I was, turned off hiding the dock and it made no difference... Still too widely spaced. It worked so well before and now there is not even an option there to have 5 icons in hideme8..... Not sure what is going on

I might've misread your original post. I was replying to your landscape issue and you seeing your icons behind your dock when you were in landscape mode. That issue was fixed for me by not having my dock background hidden. But there could be many more variables involved than just the one I encountered...

As far as hiddme8 and the dock they removed it a few days ago with a update because of 6+ users having issues in landscape mode.

Thats when betterfiveicondock popped up and it works for some and for some it doesn't. It works fine for me as long as I don't have the dock background hidden. If you don't have the repo for betterfiveicondock here it is.

Just saw a tweet from springtomize. He's still a couple days out on the update but if you paid for springtomize iOS 7 this will be a free update###

I've been using hideme8 since pangu release and he has pushed a update almost daily. I paid the 2$. He's been on top of the game. This was a free update to previous hideme7 users I believe also...
 
I just wish HideMe8 was actually consistently hiding the battery icon, and the text was consistently changing on the lock screen. It doesn't always work, and I have no idea why.

It'll never work when you are actually in Cydia...
