I have vista running on a Partition on my Hard Drive. I'm sick of looking at the "UNTITLED" Disk drive on my desktop... is there a way to hide it? (I can't even rename it...)

You can name it starting with a "." and it will be hidden

I can rename the Windows XP drive.

I'm running Leopard and it allows me to rename my Windows XP drive. The difference may perhaps be that I'm running under Bootcamp. OSX even allowed me to change the Icon on the XP drive.

That's because you've formatted your BootCamp volume as FAT32. If its NTFS, you wont be able to rename it (or change the icon) from OS X.

Thanks, I had not thought of that.

Thanks. That makes sense as I DO have the drive formatted FAT 32.

Would the "." trick work on an OSX partition on a single HD? If so on re-boot could I choose it as the boot drive using the "option key"?
