Hiding iChat on bootup

Is there a way to prevent the iChat buddies list to appear when I boot up? I just want the little icon up top. I don't need the buddy list to pop up everytime I restart.

try System Preferences -> Accounts -> Login Items -> Use The Hide checkbox infront of iChat.

It was already checked. I'm not sure what that box is supposed to do because it's not hiding the app. 🙁

For some reason iChat and Mail won't hide when you login even if you check the box in System Preferences - very annoying🙁
