hiding the (suddenly appearing) location icon...

the menubar location services icon keeps popping up since installing 12.0.1. i have it unchecked in "show icon in menubar" in system preferences>privacy (i tried checking & unchecking that again).

bartender doesn't seem to hide it. any suggestions? am used to never seeing it, now i'm constantly seeing it 🤪

not sure wether this works… but in previous version you could just Ctrl+click on the icon and drag&drop it off the menu bar.

did you mean command-click? that does remove some icons, but not this one...
