My other storage on 26.2 has slowly been ballooning ever since it was released. Has anyone else encountered this? Tried updating via my Mac to no avail.

I have a 512 GB iPhone 14 Pro, and nearly all my space is now consumed by other. I usually have around 200GB free.

Is there any way to force iOS to purge the system cache? Restoring is really not an option.

There's another discussion about this issue over here, where the most recent posts seem to be narrowing down the cause to something to do with the system icon cache files:

Here's hoping this is a bug that gets fixed soon, because I've seen a few people reporting this issue after upgrading to iOS 26.

edit: I spoke too soon. System Data now at 40GB. I have different home screens set up for different Focus modes, including icon tinting at night. No issues on iOS 18...

Ended up restoring. Not pleased but I had no other choice. System is now sitting at 20GB of other.
Will see how it goes...
