If i wanted to buy the top of the line Macbook Pro. What specs would I be looking at? Are there any companies on the web where you can find custom built macbook pro's that go beyone apple.com's specs?

Just curious. I'm going to be doing alot of video editing and want to be able to run apps for the next few years on it.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

You can't go beyond the specs of the top model with the exception of adding RAM and/or a bigger hard-drive, which it makes more sense to do later on anyway. You'll pay a hefty premium if you add Apple RAM at the time of purchase.

In terms of custom 3rd-party configurations, the only thing you might find is people selling used MBPs that have been upgraded.

I'd suggest buying from apple then upgrading yourself as the years go by. I added my second stick of ram last year and this year I'm upgrading to a 200gb 7200 hd.

keep with the times yourself, it'll be easier and probably cheaper.
