I think that you should go for the 15".
It is larger and worthed with their price.

im buying the 13" tomorrow. Im also going to be buying the 22" LG for 179, and the metal stand that holds your laptop up in the air. I cant wait!!!
get the 13" if you go to school and travel
get the 15" if you dont move as much.

If you are happy with integrated graphics have you considered the base 13" MBP, for every day real use you will not notice any difference what so ever. Pound for pound it is the best value and you will save an even larger amount of money.

If the 15" had a better resolution the extra size would be worth it, but Apple is stuck on their 1440x900 res.

After going to best buy to look at both the 13" and 15" i still can't decide. I like the compactness of the 13", i feel like when i lay my hand on the 15" the laptop consumes my hands (my hands are pretty big.)

I don't like the screen on the 13", it doesn't seem bright or vibrant(?) enough compared to the 15".

Anyone take there 15" to (college) class regularly? How does it fit on your desk with other stuff?
ALSO, I decided to watch a HQ youtube video on each and both of them seemed a little choppy (the 13" more than the 15"), it wasn't smooth and it wasn't what I expected from a 2009 apple product. Can anyone tell me if it was just the demo model that was being iffy or if that's how all videos are going to be ran on the computer?

Love my 15"

I did allot of research before I bought my 15" macbook pro. I do allot of traveling so the portability if the 13" sounded like the better option. Then I went to the apple store and looked at them side by side. I decided that since I use my laptop as my sole computer that the 15" was a better option for me. Yes, people have said that you can buy an external screen for the difference in price, but that is a hassle. the purpose of a laptop is to be easily portable, when you have to plug a screen in every time that is not easily portable. I carry my macbook pro everywhere and the extra weight does not bother me a bit, but the larger screen sure is nice. You should really go look at both and figure out which one you think is best for YOU. You should not care what other people think!

keep in mind if you are planning on buying apple care it is also more expensive for the 15. Although i would still recommend the 15, so much nicer to have the extra screen space and the 15 is not difficult to carry around in the least bit.

I went to the store to look at the two models today and I like the bigger screen, the smaller one seemed cramped. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay the extra $200 to get the same specs as the 13" one though.

How was it cramped? The 15" MBP only has an extra 160 horizontal pixels, and 100 vertical pixels. That's nothing. Your desktop will be around 1 icon wider, and one icon taller.

The 13" and 15" screens also have the same pixel density, so all icons and text appear the same size. Things on the 17" MBP appear smaller because it has a greater pixel density.

I don't really see the point of the low-end 15" MBP, to be honest. However, it's $200, so even if you feel that you've made the wrong choice later, you've only spent an additional $200. The price difference used to be a lot worse.
