    Hi guys.

Experiencing high fan speeds on my Macbook when playing games, watching youtube full screen etc.
Using iStat, the exhaust can reach up to 6000rpm. Is this normal behavior?
The Macbook get hot also but that is understandable... just didn't expect it to be so bloody loud!!

Don't worry. When you use CPU intensive applications, the core temperature will rises rapidly. That's why your fans ran at maximum RPM to cools the CPU down to an acceptable idle temperature (around 50c +/-). If the fans run at 6000rpm all the time then you'll need expert support.

Cheers for the reply. Its not all the time... at the moment the fans are running at 1793RPM. This is with the Macbook on my lap.

Was just hoping that when I install Football Manager, the fans won't go too crazy.
