Hello

I’ve iMac Mid 2010, 2.8 GHz i5, 4 cores with ATI Radeon HD 5750 Graphic card
in 10.7.5 Lion, i get high load
Code:
TheLove$ uptime
13:01 up 3:25, 5 users, load averages: 3.83 4.07 3.34

and i've Menu Stats shows the heat go to 55C sometimes, i manually make the fans go to Medium level via Menu stats, i don't know if this is the time to upgrade for a new iMac? i really like it and there's some application maybe cause the high load is there anyway i can 'trace' them? and i don't know why my fans start cooling when the temp passes 40C, what is the normal temperature level?

Use Activity Monitor to look for what processes are using large CPU resources.

However, I'm not sure I understand. If the Mac gets hot: the fans will start. What is the problem, exactly?
