Hi! I just opened my Mac mini M2 Pro, and as the box shows some wear... I did installed DxDrive software and shows 65 power counts (65 times turn on)... and a large amount of data written and read (pictures).

Are these normal? Maybe just some tests on Apple/ SSD factory?
Have any of you experienced something similar with M2's or M1's?

Btw, I'll leave here the results of SSD speed for my M2 Pro Mac mini 1TB, just in case someone wants to know!

Thank you so much

I just opened my base m2 pro mini today and ran smartmon tools. Funny, it also has 65 power cycles and similar read/writes. Must be some factory testing protocol I'm guessing.

I recently purchased a new Mac Mini M2 Pro. The power cycle and R/W, don’t make sense. I have therefore decided to return it.

xjn819: good call. No way that's a new unit. I'm guessing you didn't buy it directly from Apple.

My mini M2 is a month old and has way more power cycles than I did and having done some math my mini comes to having done around 60/65 before I ever received it.
