Cool, mock-up renderings of a phone; a phone whose existence has been neither confirmed nor even proven.
If that isn't innovation, I don't know what is. They've practically made up a new Apple product!![]()

Why does this feel so wrong to me?
The Apple Logo on the back of the white iPhone looks squint and off centre... It's really annoying me.
I thought Apple was going to sell these in emerging markets. Is that no longer the case?
It is probably fake
Who on earth wastes their time making these renderings?
And for what possible reason?
Weird.
IDK what Apple want to do with those but if it's real, it can be very very dangerous for their traditional market.
If the "low cost" is done with same hadware as iPhone 4/4S or 5 but with less expensive materials, a lot of people in western countries won't like to pay premium price just for aluminium and glass.
They will want to switch on those low cost stuff. And if Apple refuse to sell them, they will probably be upset enough to buy a competitor phone instead.
Apple is playing a dangerous game if this is true.
I find the current line quite enough. They should continue to sell their older model for less money.

Everyone prepare to see these renderings used again and again for the next several months on here![]()
"Emerging markets" are rich enough to buy the normal iPhone.

Who would waste time (and possible money) in order to get this commissioned ?

This is exactly the kind of sh** you learn in business school never to do. Why release a brand new product that destroys the sales of your current products? There isn't room for keeping older phone models around at the same price point as this new thing - unless the plan is to never sell older models once the current one comes out and thus reduce inventory levels? It just seems plain silly to me.
