iOS, retina support and developers
When the iPhone 4 came out, developers needed to adapt for retina support and had two weeks ahead of time to test their code in the simulator in Xcode.
Now with iPad3, Apple can simplz be quiet, because devs already know how to handle retina scale factors.
So, we will probably not see anything new related to development before the actual announcement.
Which is a good thing, in my opinion.
I also believe that the iPad would be ideal to test LTE support. You don't need an additional GSM chip, because it's not supposed to be a phone. Just data over LTE.
