High school life!

High school was literally nothing. Wait until you have to pay a mortgage. That's stressful, especially when your company is downsizing.

High School can be stressful because of the usual awkwardness and social anxieties. It's not so easy being a kid.

Be the soul bread winner for your family and get made redundant if you want to know about stress.
Or have someone you love go through a serious health crisis.

IMO the stress heaped on school kids is ridiculous. Teachers are always telling the kids about how important this test is or that test. My daughter is 13 and they are always going on about it even now. Truth is when you finish school it's not all that important.
Also getting stressed about stuff, doesn't help you perform any better. Find an outlet that helps you to relax.

If your posts here are any indication, you don't seem to have the best grasp of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax. I understand not everyone is careful when composing posts on a message board, so you could easily be more competent than you appear.

Seriously though, writing "iMac" as "Imac" in his signature on an Apple forum. Even auto-correct wants badly to fix that for me :p

high school means 0

Not if you want to get into college, get a higher paid job, etc. Just because it isn't impacting your life now doesn't mean it's always 0.

Sorry, that's just not true now. Getting into a good school is key. High School isn't some blow off thing anymore. Had to work my butt off to make up for a weak freshman year.

----------

When I went to school only 15 or something % of my generation attained a highschool diploma.
It was a huge achievment.

Now it is an important stepping stone to go to a good university. It's equally as important really but for different reasons.

That's what people told me when I was in high school. Still got into a good college.

Yes, it makes it easier. But the truth is once you graduate and are in college it's just useless. College grades have a higher shelf life compared to high school grades, even if you don't get a degree after your bachelors.

And in the end, nothing really matters because you get a job after college where they don't ever bother seeing your transcript, and a year after college is over, you no longer end up doing anything you expected to do while you were in college, and then you just keep working for 30 some years with that same mentality, and then you retire. I'm halfway between graduation and retirement, and in the medical field, yeah, I use some of what they taught me in school, but no matter what you do, you're mainly going to be hired for your personality. Everyone has inbetween a 3.0 and a 4.0 Give or take a little, you won't majorly improve or destroy your life.

High school life!

Hi everyone im in one of my final years of high school and just want to ask how much stress did you have to go through especially for the people who take multiple HL classes. right now im taking HL bio, HL chem, HL math and its a bit stressful.

Nothing stressful at all. Spend most of my time shagging and smoking nederwiet. Still passed my exams and got to a good university. Then had to do my national service. Just enjoy it whilst it lasts.

The thing about school is that the teachers are academics, they're good at doing well in the education system -- which is why they're teachers. So after spending years in the school system you tend to get a warped perspective of the world, and believe that excelling in the academia bubble is the most important thing ever and that if you f it up you'll be working at McDonalds for min wage for the rest of your life. Then when you leave school you realise that a huge chunk of university grads are waiting tables and cleaning offices even though they got their degrees... There are other aspects that are more important to most employers than doing well in school.

@The Doctor11 is right.
High school puts a dent in my time I can be on macrumors.

I'd just browse macrumors (and engadget at the time) during my classes. 2 birds with 1 stone. Especially when the iPhone 3G came out. I just slanted a binder open and browsed to my hearts content. Didn't need my computer anymore.

Well that's one way to do it but that's kind of hard to do during midterms and final exams :)

I actually find it quite hard to take test exams with out my phone in my pocket. You must hand your phone in or it's considered cheating. But when i do my empty pockets are just so weird... I don't like the phoneless feeling
