10.3.1 sucked for me. Window Server was taking up a lot of ram and making the system slow. The graphics driver sucked, but that was fixed with Nvidia web drivers to a degree. I updated to 10.3.2, and the window server problem seems to have been fixed. However, Safari crashed on a graphics intensive website causing me to login again and reopen programs. I removed all the Nvidia web drivers thinking there was a conflict, and it did it again, about 4 times to be exact. I have downloaded the updated Nvidia drivers and will test some more. Has anyone experienced a crash like that? I'm so frustrated with macOS. I'm probably going to downgrade to Sierra and wait until a .5 release.

I wanted to provide an update. I installed the Nvidia web drivers with CUDA support, and things seemed to have been working better. Unfortunately, today I got the same crash but not in Safari. It was in a Linux VM using vmware fusion 11. The Safari page that caused the system to crash had a lot of graphics. So it seems this is a graphics related crash with the discrete graphics. Does anyone else have problems with graphics related crashes where it brings you back to the logon screen?

I've seen similar bug (suddenly bring me back to login screen) may be 2-3 times, but can't remember if all with High Sierra. And I can't remember if I was doing any GPU intensive job. Also, that's with the AMD GPU, not Nvidia.

After I switched to Nvidia GPU, and using the web driver (I switched GPU for just more than a month), I never see this bug. The current Nvidia web driver is much more stable then I expect.

I also intentionally try to trigger the Window server bug, let my GPU rendering the desktop at 7680x2160 @144Hz (3840x1080 HiDPI), but didn't get any issue so far (my Mac stay on 24/7).

May I know which web site cause you the trouble? I can go there and see what will happen.

I use Safari to manage my NAS via a desktop like interface (similar to Linux VM), and no error so far.

I can’t remember the website as it was a few weeks ago. I had it crash with and without the nvidia drivers. The recent crash was with the latest web drivers. I’m thinking of using the 10.3.3 beta to see if it is a tad more stable. It can’t be any worse than the beta state 10.3 seems to be in. Btw, My install was a clean instal.
