Hello! I am really struggling with this! I read many post about this on Macrumors, but any solution I found not worked in my case.

So
Mac pro 5.1 64gb with gtx 980 and high sierra 10.13.6 .
(the card looks to be flashed but I am not sure of this(It may be original efi boot?) because I got a bargain on eBay but the seller just said that he pulled the card off a working mac pro 5.1) Anyway with el capitan never had problems.

High sierra is installed with hfs+ partition. Nvidia driver installed by a terminal strings I found on GitHub, and they are up to date. GPU correctly feed.

Problem is:
The web drivers are installed and selected on the pref pane, but I am possibly one of those people with that bug I read of, about installed, selected, but not loading nvidia drivers.

The gtx 980 is half working, it's glitchy and one monitor is working, but no signal in the other one I use.

I boot in recovery mode and put on terminal this string (exactly like this) nvram boot-args="nvda_drv=1"

but no success with the gpu.

any idea?
