Grrrr... iMac/iPhone 8 — Both OS' are latest, have swapped out several USB cables, used different USB ports, rebooted both several times. I understand the next move is to un/reinstall iTunes. Can anyone confirm this as a successful strategy? I have played 52- Pick Up before. Who has the most current/thorough checklist for this process? Thanks, everyone! PROBLEM SOLVED. Simply install new copy of iTunes over the corrupt one. No trashing, uninstalling, etc. Don't even open the hood.
