A lot of this has to do with the Olympics. More people are online so more spam...What really bugs me is that I'll see a few with different Usernames but have to wait for 30 seconds between reports.
I don't know how many I've reported, but it's a lot.
I'm seeing the same content (word-for-word) being posted by different users. I've seen this before. What they do is register, post spam, I report it, they're banned, they come back and register a different username and start the process all over. Gotta love IP banning.
I wonder if we might benefit from implementing a rule requiring 20 posts before being allowed to post a link.

It's been discussed, but the trouble us a lot if this junk is bot generated meaning that names and posts can be generated quicker than they can be nuked...I guess the 20 post idea might work, although spammers can just type in links or point people towards their junk without actual links. Not a bad idea though.

Spam comes and goes. Sometimes it's high, sometimes it's low. All you need to do is report it, and we'll take care of them.
Yep, will continue to report. I'm on my computer about 12 hours each day and I won't pass an oportunity to report bad posts/threads.
