iPhone 12 Pro highest Watt charger that an iPhone 12 will take advantage of?

Hi,

Just got an iPhone 12 pro and for the most part, the fast charging doesnt really bother me too much as i usually just chazarge my phone overnight and even with the 5w charger its full by the next morning.

Having said that, on the odd occasion where i may need to get home and charge my phone before leaving quickly, i want to get a charger that will give my phone the best amount of juice in the shortest possible time.

What is the maximum Watts that the iphone can charge from? theres 15w, 20w, 30w etc all up to ive seen 100w chargers which i know is overkill as im guessing the iPhone will only charge up to something like 20w but i cant seem to find that exact number and the brick would just be for an iphone purpose so i dont need a charger thats offering more watts than what the iphone can take.

I got a 18w brick and use the USB c.

Yesterday I had 7% battery left. Charged it took a shower and exactly in an hour my 12P was at 87%.

Up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes11 with 20W adapter or higher (sold separately)

so im guessing 20w is the most it can take advantage of then??

I have an 18w fast charge brick. Went from 7% to 87% in and hour.

Just keep using it, you could save time with 20w but the gain will be very marginal (<5 min for a 0-100% charge for sure).
The iPhone use 20W only for the first 20min maximum of charge if you start at 0% battery. Once you have a decent battery percentage, the real power used from the charge brick is decreasing.

I used the new Apple 20 Watt charger with USB-C cable, on a 2 year old iPhone XS Max and it charged from 0% (black screen) to 94% in 90 minutes. I was quite happy and the iPhone did not get hot.

iPhone 12 pulls up to 22-24W.

Use a 29/30W adapter for the absolute fastest charging.

I don't need to buy any more chargers so I am re-using my 29W Apple 12" rMB USB-C charger - seems to get a quick charge!

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to enable "Optimized Battery Charging" in battery health settings to maintain good battery health though. IMHO
