Highlight icon in dock on hover?

I'm curious if anyone knows of a way to add a hover affect for individual icons in the dock? By default, you see the app/file name appear but I'm looking to hide that and instead highlight the icon or have something visual occur where the icon is (instead of drawing my eye away towards a filename). Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if something like that exists, but I use an application called Hyperdock which has some nice tweaks. It has a trial period that you can take advantage of before having to pay.

What's with the setting for magnifying icons when the pointer is over them? You could use that.
