Hint that iMac's will be available this Friday?

They have had no inventory of NEW iMacs for many weeks and no inventory of refurb 21" iMacs as of this morning.

I don't believe your assessment holds up.
 
You are correct - my eyes are starting to glaze over with all the speculation about "the date".

That assessment DOES hold up for resellers.
 
What I'm expecting now for next tuesday the 27th:

- Release of iTunes 11
- Release of the 21" iMac with a 1-3 days delivery time.
- Release of the 27" iMac with a 2-3 weeks delivery time.

This way apple wouldn't have lied:
- iTunes 11 in November
- 21" iMac in November
- 27" iMac in December

It sounds right to me! :)

if the right refurb pops up , I think I may pull the trigger. im on the fence and im ready to jump to one side . my patience has virtually run out.
 
Agreed, the wait has been ridiculous, and I'm missing out on completing assignments properly because of the lack of an iMac.

Or, 27" near 12/31/12 with a 3 week delivery time for all but a few stock units. I'm learning to expect the worsts case scenario with Apple these days.

I have to agree with that scenario.

30.11 pre order of imac. (otherwise why they don't give us option to order now. with 1-2 weeks wait, which is usually the average time for stuff)

(start shipping end of December)

31.12 pre ordr the bigger one.

(Start shipping end of JAN)

I think I have found a tip for apple advertisement department , why say November ? say December , and surprise every one when it is available for pre order (4 -5 weeks wait of course) at the end of November , every one happy..)
 
Make them both available the same day?

Can you imagine how many people who are on the edge between the 21" and the 27" would cave in and get the 21" if they didnt offer both at the same time with different shipping time frames? Quite a few I'm guessing.

Also the other way around too. If they offer both at the same time for purchase, all those who are leaning toward the 21" may decide to just go for the 27" as long as its there with a buy now button.

This might have factored into the decision to wait this deep into November to make the 21" available.
 
So now our new projected date is Tuesday, November 27th for the new iMacs since they are "usually" released on Tuesdays?? Fingers crossed!!! :cool:
