Hi,

I have a friend who is certain he saw a version of Windows95 for sale in a university bookshop, back in the mists of time, marked as being for PowerPC on the box. I can't find any reference to this anywhere.

Has anyone else heard of it?

Microsoft never sold Windows 95 for PowerPC. It's possible that he saw a bundle of Connectix's VirtualPC and Windows 95 being sold together.

@mattspace The only time Windows was offered for PowerPC was with Windows NT 3.5.1 and a version of 4.0. It was only produced for a limited time and was made with the premise of the few PCs with PowerPC processors, like the ThinkPad 820 and 850.

It might a packed virtual pc application that had windows 95 included. Before going to intel, we needed an emulation application - windows ran like crap but at least it ran.
