history not saving

I have a weird problem.I am running the newest mac osx . My history in safari saves most of my websites i go on, but if i am on facebook it saves my profile when i open it up but if i go and click on someone elses profile or go into my messages it does not save those pages?? Any ideas why this is happening, Is this the way safari is designed? 😕
