Hmm, OSX never came with a default alarm clock?

Weird, after all these years of being a Mac user… I never thought to use my iMac as an alarm clock (to wake me up in the morning). Oddly enough, I do use my iMac and iTunes to put me to sleep (using soothing music, ambient white noise of soothing waterfalls etc). In recent years, I've used the trusty iPhone for the alarm clock role.

So today I started looking into my iMac (OSX Sierra) trying to find some alarm clock app or widget. It never had one?

Oh well, can anyone recommend a good one from the App Store (no frills, just works as an alarm clock to wake you up)?

I think Apple did realize that an iMac is too big to sit on your bedstand.

But there are plenty of options out there.

A 21" iMac is never too big for a nightstand.

    A 27" iMac on the other hand….
