iPad Hmm wifi issues with YouTube ?

I was watching a video on YouTube and it would look really clear and then fuzzy like it would on a slow connection while I have 30 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up

The YouTube app on iOS sucks really bad.

Were you on the app or on the mobile site?

On my wife's mini sometimes is OK and other times it keeps saying Tap to Retry

No wonder it has a 2 star rating.

App. It was fine when I had my iPad Air months ago (March )

Same here, just on a Ipad mini 2. And when you choose 1080 it runs for a while and Then stops...runs a bit and stops again.

Now I hardly don't see Youtube on my Ipad anymore. I use my Tab S instead.

Try the website. Maybe another app for YouTube.

The official app has a 2 star rating and on the Mini 1 my wife has sometimes it works fine and sometimes it keeps dropping.

We have never updated it and never will, so it is running 7.x something . Whatever it had when it came out of the box.

Yes. On my Android phone the YouTube App runs like a champ.on the iPad not so much.

If it wasn't for the design apps I would've bought an android tablet already.

If it wasn't for the design apps I would've bought an android tablet already.

If I can't sell my tab s them I'll use it to watch YouTube or my android phone I guess.

The Youtube app loves to get all fuzzy and buffer constantly if I leave the quality setting on Auto or 1080p. Works perfect on 720p. It's stupid that they don't allow the user to set a default video quality so you don't have to change it every single time. Same thing on my Mac, buffers a lot on 1080p but is good with lower resolutions



Aside from the Jasmine app, are there any other Youtube apps that are good and have been updated recently to support iOS 8 and/or iPhone 6 Plus?

I think so but they are very minimal

If you have an old version backed up somewhere I would seriously consider installing it and deleting the newer version.
