Thanks for visiting the O2 Online Shop

Sorry, we are making some enhancements to the Online Shop and the service is temporarily unavailable.

Same thing happened a couple of days before iPhone 3g was announced. And of course, Apple website always goes down while they add new products.

Coincidence?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sciencea...ite-crashes-due-to-high-levels-of-demand.html

"Due to extremely high levels of demand, the O2 online shop is temporarily unavailable. We are working to restore the service as quickly as possible. Customers who are unable to place an order online can still go into store from 8.02am on 11 July, although we urge people to get down there early as demand is expected to be very high,"

Bit different. Though if they're doing anything site related in a week or two, they're going to have to reinforce their website to watch out for peaks in demand.

Same thing on the Orange UK website. Obviously they are getting the new iPhone to sell in 1 hours time!:p
