Hoe to get .mac for iweb?

I have made a site in iWeb and i have heard of something called .mac.
Can someone explain to me what this is and where to buy it?

It's now called mobleme and you need to buy that from apple, though you can get it cheaper from amazon.

I thought it was a mac domain for iWeb, ah well only got mac 2 days ago, we all start somewhere!
