I found an iPhone feature that I’ve never found before or even read about online anywhere.

So here is what I found.

Write an email or multi line message. If a change is needed, instead of going up to an upper line by holding your finger on the text to get the magnifying glass and place the cursor, hold the space bar down. It turns the keyboard into a trackpad and allows you to move the cursor.

Might sound trivial but I can't find any articles showing iOS tips and tricks, and have not found anyone who had heard of this before.

Enjoy.

I didn't know you could do it by holding the space bar, that's cool! It means that feature is available for non-3D touch devices, and when 3D touch is disabled for devices that support it.

Don't think it works on devices without 3D Touch on the regular keyboard but it works on iPad by swiping with two fingers. It also works on some 3rd party keyboards like Gboard.

You're right. Just tried this on a 3D touch device. Holding down the space bar doesn't work when 3D touch is disabled. When enabled, holding it still doesn't work; you need to apply pressure.

Wow, wasnt aware, this is my first time playing with 3D Touch since last iphone was a 6+.
That trick is great to know. Thank you for posting.

It’s one of those things that Apple doesn’t point out enough. I wish occasionally a little tip bubble would pop up to remind you of these little features if it sees you’ve not used it before or in a very very long time.

Definitely agree with you there.
