Hi All,
I'm wondering if there is any way to delete text quickly by holding down the delete key. This is one of the few frustrating things I have with OS X. Even when I use bootcamp and log on to windows I can open up word and then if I need to erase an entire sentence I can hold down the delete key and the cursor will delete things pretty quickly. I've noticed the same thing with the left and right arrow key. I know that I can use the apple key to erase full words and sometimes I use it but it be really nice to be able to just hold down the delete key. Is there any way to do this?

I thought it was enabled by default, but here you go. It's in the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane.
