As the title says I’m attempting to hold my iPhone at a UPS hub instead of having it deliveried, yet Apple apparently restricted. Has anyone ever experienced this and has ever gotten Apple to lift the “block or restriction”

A lot of places will have these kinds of restrictions. But I would try again once it’s actually in transit. I’ve experienced with both UPS and FedEx that I wasn’t allowed to make changes until it was on the way.

Once it’s in the air you can make changes. I did it on Thursday afternoon last year and it worked fine. You can’t redirect to a different address but holding it is just fine.

I had the same issue and was gonna have it go to the Customer Center or Hub. Then I found a UPS locker thats located outside the hub and its open 24 hours. My iPhone XS Max will get delivered on Monday and I'm fine with that.

Once the phone reaches the main shipping depot, you will be able to make the changes there. Just keep tracking see where the phone is, and then it will give you the option to make the change when necessary.

So I see the new tracking number in my “MyUPS” app and when I select a UPS CC to hold it at it states your item wil be ready to pick up on Monday , September 24th...

I was going through this and had it fixed. What I did was reach out to UPS via twitter and explained I wasn’t able to have the package held up at the CC. they asked for details including tracking number, my address, name and phone number and they also asked for which CC I wanted it to be held at. They did it last night and now tracking is showing it will be held for pickup.

If it says the 24th then you may have chose a UPS store because if it was the CC it should say the 21st still.

Y’all who have reserved it, does it showing exception on your mobile UPS app?

It's going to The Address on File, Period!!!!!

I had no issues requesting a hold for pick up at the UPS CC the moment I got my tracking for my iPhone XS Max. It's still in China right now.

You’ll be just fine, as long as it’s in a customer center it will be available to pick up the day that it’s released, this happened to me when I bought my iPhone X I had the original date of 11/3 and when I changed it to hold that a customer center it said 11/6, on 11/3 I was able to pick it up by noon. I also pre-order the watch this year and I’m in the same situation as you it also says 11/24 I have no doubt that I’ll be able to pick it up on Friday

Not to mention it shows "Delivery Change Requested: Hold for Pickup" before the change it was stated leave at management office.
