iPad Pro Hole on iPad 2018 screen?

I have just purchased an iPad 11inch 2018 256gb model and notice a small hole which is an actual hole I can feel when running many finger over it. It is next to the front facing Face ID camera. Can anyone tell me what this is for?? I have attached a picture...

It is a microphone. My 11 has it also

It's microphone hole. There are five total, one on the front, one on the back, two on the top, one on the side.
