A relative brought to me a 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Anyway, on the aluminum where the hands would rest, there are a bunch of holes.

It look like someone took very tiny drill bits and drill holes into the aluminum, except that holes are irregular shape. WTF?
 
It likely pitting from the previous owners sweat, just google it and you can see many cases.

Relatively normal. My old 2006 MBP armrest looked like a swiss cheese after 8 years of use.

Solution: Use an underlay or stop sweating.
