A month or so ago, I was talking to my family about by vision of how the Watch + Glasses + AirPods would meld, and it was similar to your message above. You extended the hardware idea out to a field-workable function, and bravo! This is indeed where we're going. Apple's insistence on privacy will conflict with some of that, but there is a workable area for it. I'm "looking" forward to it. (see what I did there?)

Apple only insists that you’re in control of your privacy, not necessarily on privacy itself. People are free to broadcast their private moments, thoughts and relationship status all they want. Apple just makes sure that you get a say in it.

Having a little “single” bubble appear over my head to others wearing AR glasses, both of us having signed up for an AR dating app, is perfectly fine with me. That’s the intended purpose of dating apps.

Maybe, I indicate I’m not interested in someone and she no longer sees my status and vice versa. Maybe I pause my matches when I’m out with family and not interested in flirting with anybody at that moment so they no longer see that I’m available.

There are many ways to ensure a good experience with AR, not just in dating apps but in preventing overload of information. I trust Apple to get this right, but not necessarily an ad company like Google.
