I would rather take a snake and feed it to a gorilla, wait for the gorilla to digest the snake and then eat the resulting poop than use that on my iPhone.

It's actually a very cool looking case. However, it just doesn't work due to the bulk (way oversized width) it adds to the phone.

Having said that, I take the rest of these posted comments with a box of salt, given what passes for "cool" with teens and 20-somethings. I've seen some pretty awful looking cases that were deemed "hip"....which they weren't.

I looks great but makes the phone much more bulky.

My favorite case is still the full body invisible shield by Zagg.

Seriously, this case is horrible. I would be embarassed if I was at a meeting and had to pull my phone out to check my calendar with that case on

Cases are so subjective. It's best not to open up threads with titles like these. You got exactly the responses that were coming to you.

By the way, I concur with the others in this thread: Barf.

best put.

I bought the type 01 off amazon a few weeks back. First off, it is very solid and well machined. The way it holds the phone is unique in that the sides are not touched at all. The finish is smooth to the touch and the iPhone is removed from the metal by a thin foam layer. As for protection, being aluminum and that a drop on a corner would bend the metal I am quite confident it would survive a good drop on concrete. I'm not really sure how the screen would fare if dropped face down, but because of the ring of metal it may not be that bad. It is heavy, and noticeably larger then the phone. Realistically I can not use it on a daily basis as it does not fit easily in a pants pocket. Overall the design may not (and obviously to some here) appeal to everyone, but it is unique and will protect the phone to a decent degree. Needless to say I did return it at the end of my testing. It did not effect my signal strength at all when in use, I used the field test mode at two different times both with the case on, and off. The only annoyance is the number of screws required for assembly. Overall I was impressed by this case.

I guess I could see some appealing factors to it actually...although I suppose I wouldn't get one myself. At first glance, I thought the case made the iPhone look like a rugged Toshiba external hard drive.

I really don't think i need to add insult to injury............... but i will.........

wtf were the creators of this case thinking??? being fugly and wanting to vomit don't even cover what my mind is going through right now......

I'm hoping it's a limited edition, like 1 per color for ppl like you who actually think that it's not the ugliest thing you've ever seen.

I just thought of a good use for it though, if you ask Otter Box to make a case that will cover that one up, it would probably be the strongest, most durable case in the world - metal covered up by rubber.

But as for being 1 of the most beautiful cases you've seen, either you're new here and it's the first one you looked at, or like they say, "to each his own" - hopefully many ppl are not on your "own"
