Hey guys, so i just recently had my phone screen replaced after it was dropped and shattered pretty badly. I took it to a 3rd party company to replace the screen and they did an excellent job however when i got it back i noticed the home button did not work properly. For some odd reason, when the screen is locked and asleep, clicking the home button does nothing, it does not turn the screen on nor does it unlock it with the touchID. So I have to use the power button to wake it up and then manually type in my passcode. However, once I'm on the home screen and within apps etc., the home button works completely fine and when i use it to exit apps back to the home screen it does it with no problems.

So i am wondering what could cause this issue? If i were to bring it to the apple store would they repair this for me since its still under warranty and isn't an obvious user problem?

Thanks

Your phone is no longer under warranty so you need to go back to the 3rd party repairer

Thanks for the quick response, i completely forgot that it voids my warranty. Good to know i guess ill go back there
