iPod touch Home Button not working

For no apparant reason my home button on my ipod touch doesnt work anymore. Either it doesnt do anything or it double clicks to reveal the small music tab. So i cannot go back to the homescreen and im worried. Has anybody else had this problem? Any advice 🙁
