Yes. It is very different than my v1.

me too, although it feels stiff it doesn't feel over-stiff, just of good build quality, i'm sure over time it will loosen slightly, maybe i just got so used to my 3G home button after constant use! x

It definitely has a different feel from my 1st gen iPod touch, but I rather like it.

Yeah, I noticed it too. A bit stiffer to push than my 1G iPhone.
Is it similar to the 3G? I never got a chance to try one of those.

I noticed the same thing. My button is just a bit tighter than the 3G was.

Like all iPhones, you need to "break in" the home button. It will feel a lot more like your older iPhones within a couple weeks.
