I have had problems with the Home Button for a the past few months and the only solution that seemed to work was going the Restore route using I Tunes. I was syncing my I Phone 4 to my I Mac via USB even though I was using the I Cloud for syncing some items like contacts but not calendar, notes, email , etc. I guess I was that confident about sync items using the I Cloud method.

I have started using the wireless sync method only (Still through I Tunes) for the past two weeks and since then I have had zero problems with the home button. :D

My phone now functions like a brand new one even though its one year old. I'm sure the problem is software related versus hardware related and could probably be traced to a rouge app. As you know many apps that are designed for I Phone will also run on I Pads. I sync the I Pad the same way, wirelessly up in the Cloud! ;)

Can you please describe your home button trouble? Was it unresponsive? Glad to hear it's fixed by the way.
