They were. They created it before I started working thereInteresting! Are you sure they were first? Maybe longer than you're thinking? EPCOT had this on display at Inventions back around 1997, I think. It turned up a few years later at an ice cream shop in the revamped area of West Palm Beach...for a bathroom door. Needless to say, guests were nervous about the power going out! 😂
If there's support for Alexa and Gassist but none for Homekit... then this product is useless for us Apple fans. NEXT!
Whatever happened to…just taking your laundry down to the creek?Whatever happened to…just pulling the shades? 🤔
Going to be funny when the ppl that buy this freak out when it stops working in a few years.
“Honey I need a brand new door….the app no longer works!!!!”
Smart homes are incredibly useful with lights, switches, plugs, locks… this on the other hand? Meh…kinda same way I feel with smart blinds, and things related that are more physical in nature.I saw this clear to opaque tech many years ago. It is very cool indeed.
That said, the older I get the more I move towards simplicity (and reliability), so something like this is definitely not for me, as are most smart home tech items even if I do see the value in their implementation for some people.
Sounds like the error is in front of the computer screen.HomeKit is a mess honestly, always connection issues and limitation by Apple
