"Home & Lock Screen" Battery Usage

Hey Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help me out with this. Just picked up my 7+ 128gb Matte Black Verizon from the Apple store today and I'm looking over my battery usage. Why is the "Home & Lock Screen" using up the most battery right now at 36%? Any ideas what is using so much battery? How to stop it?

Do you have "raise to wake" on? Mine was defaulted on and, along with feeling like my phone was possessed, I found a higher than normal lock / home screen usage.

I turned that off right away! So still trying to figure out why its still so high

are you still on that cycle? I'm at 8% since this morning. I've been doing a boat-load of crap.

My iPhone 7 shows the longest amount of time over the past three days (1.1 hours) but the percentage of usage is only 4%. But that is probably because I do look at the widgets a lot from the lock screen.
