I have home sharing activated on my ATV 4K, Macbook Pro, and iPhone, and I cannot get any of my iTunes library or video library to sync with my ATV.

Tried logging in and out on each device with no luck. What's weird is that I've done a few hard resets of my ATV, and the first time I activated it, it automatically pulled my iTunes library from my phone.

Are you using the same iTunes account for Home Sharing on all of your devices?

Are you on the same network?

Home Sharing relies on Bonjour, which doesn't route past a subnet boundary. Many of us have modems\routers that have guest and\or ISP WiFi SSIDs (XFinity for example). Guest and ISP WiFi's use a different subnet to access your router and the internet, and are not accessible from the main home network (for obvious security reasons). So, double check all devices are either wired to the router via Ethernet, or on the home WiFi.

Also, depending on router, you may need to activate UPnP. Apple routers enable this by default, but others may leave it off to reduce network traffic. UPnP\Bonjour\WINS, etc are chatty broadcasts sent to every host on a network to advertise their services. On a very crowded network, it could make a difference with performance, but most home networks should not be noticeably affected by turning it on.

How do you expect them to sync?
Are you looking under Movies/Music apps or under Computers app on the aTV??

I had that very same problem, in my case, it was due to Avast software. I turned Avast off and everything worked perfectly. Good luck.

Mine does not work either. I don't really care as I use plex but I was just playing around with it to see.
