Home sharing not "sticky"

Howdy. When I start ATV2 most of the time it does not pick up my iMac (new 27") and tells me that I have to enable home sharing. When I start iTunes it shows home sharing as enable. I then have to turn off home sharing on the iMac and then turn it back on using a password. How can I make stay on/recognizable?
