Everything used to work fine but know when I try to play a tv show or movie from my iTunes home share I get the message “This content can’t be played on this Apple TV”

I can play the stream videos via the TV app or the tv shows (iTunes) app - they just will not play via the Computers app

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the suggestion but these are items that I have purchased from the iTunes Store so the option to create a different version was greyed out
I have the same issue...anyone has ideas. I've rebooted everything, including router. I can share from mini to macBook, but not the 4k ATV.

I managed to get to the bottom of my problem

For some reason iTunes had downloaded two copies of the films in question to my Mac mini and I had hidden one copy

I had to go back into my account and unhide one version and then I could play it from my Apple TV again

I did notice there were some funky, not fully downloaded, versions I hid/deleted. I’ll investigate
