Home sharing problems.

All of a sudden my home sharing quit working. I can't connect to my library on my phone or Apple TV. I have rebooted my router, Mac , phone , and Apple TV. Restarted home sharing on all my devices and still can't get it to work. Any thoughts on what I'm missing???

Ah that's not good. I think I might have figured it out. My Mac Pro mysteriously renamed itself. To Mac Pro (3) from Mac Pro.

It used to work much better. New iOS and Yosemite seems to have destroyed that ...

Perhaps you are using both ethernet ports on the MacPro.

Nope. But I did a Google search and found that bonjour is showing it once.

My experience too. The update to Yosemite means that, to get home sharing to work, I have to restart iTunes and/or the ATV. So annoying. For the first time, I am thinking about alternatives, because this crap happens every time one or other OS is updated.

I have not had a problem in a few days. And my machine sleeps like it should and the Apple TV or remote app wakes it and yes it takes a bit to start playing but it will eventually.
