I recently downloaded the new Apps for my Windows PC to replace Itunes. I can still use Itunes for podcasts but the option to home share photos to Apple tv is not there. How do I share my photos to my Apple tv now?
Home sharing is simple, I cloud is not an option, I don't have much space left, can I get rid of these apps and reinstall itunes and it will work, or is there another way to share photos
My main problem is the space, only on the free tier, I just removed the new apps and am back to Itunes for everything sadly, cant get rid of this damn Itunes still , I thought I was free. Thanks for the help!
I think I read somewhere that the iTunes replacement apps "forgot" to include the home sharing option. So the solution is to keep using iTunes if you don't have any Mac available to be your home sharing hub.
I may be wrong about this but I could swear there's been 2 or 3 threads about exactly this already. Here's something on Apple's own forums.
Based on a Quick Look around (the web), it looks like you have 3 choices:
Downgrade from the iTunes replacement apps back to iTunes for Windows
Get a new Mac and let it become your owned & possessed media hub
Get a used Mac (or utilized an old one on hand already) to become your media hub.

I was on the phone with Apple support, the guy said not everything was moved yet, I was told go back to Itunes. I uninstalled the Apps and then everything went back to Itunes.
That appears to be the ONLY way with PCs... if you want to stay in an all-Apple setup.
Else, options like Plex and similar come into play. I much prefer keeping my own media all-Apple too. So if I was you, I might look for a recent/refurb Mac Mini or similar and let it become the central hub for media. It doesn't need top specs and lots of people will likely be trying to dump their fairly recent Mini's soon once Apple Intelligence starts pushing the great need for > 8GB RAM. So you might be able to pick up quite a good Mini for relatively little cost. And if you make its purpose mostly just for this, current base specs with M1-M2 will be plenty or horsepower for the foreseeable future to serve media to AppleTV(s).
